NBA Sneaker Recap 11/4-11/6
Wednesday night in the NBA marked a special night for one of the league's superstar athletes. The Lakers' Kobe Bryant became the youngest player in history to score 30,000 points for his career, becoming only the 5th player in history to do so and joining a short and prestigious list. Kobe was able to reach the feat while playing in a NikeiD version of his Zoom Kobe VII and did it ironically against the team who drafted him but then ultimately traded him, the Hornets.
Athletes around the league continued to flourish with their footwear. Raptors teammates DeMar DeRozan and Amir Johnson went with the black/red 4's and Flu Game 12's respectively while their center Ed Davis laced up the Zoom KD IV. The Bucks' Monta Ellis continued his Air Jordan prowess as he broke out the 3M 5's from the Toro Bravo pack. Pistons teammates Greg Monroe and Charlie Villanueva went with the white/red 13's and Orlando Penny 5's respectively. And Gerald Green of the Pacers balled in the "Calvin Bailey" 9's while Russell Westbrook unveiled the AJ XX8.
